For example a typical 2700 wide x 990 high screen or fence with 40mm gaps and built Vertical slats and in Black, white or Dark grey would be $691.  That works out at $258 per SQM. This is a Cut to Size then flat packed as a DIY kit

The multi-purpose  top and bottom rail that we have developed have holes pre-punched every 40mm to give you a prefect vertical fence system that you can do DIY in any width or height that your job requires. These 2 horizontal rails per panel allow the screws to sit inside the channel, then an aluminum cover conceals all the fixings for a great looking finish.

If you want to freestyle the gaps rather then using our standard 40, 80 or 120mm gaps then we can do any gap size you ask, but it just means a little more work at your end to keep it gapped during assemble

Select your between each batten width to get an accurate Quote.  Obviously the closer the battens the more privacy but also the more aluminum is used so higher the price:

• Connecting your battens every 80mm will leave gaps between slats of 40mm
• Connecting your battens every 120mm will leave gaps between slats of 80mm
• Connecting your battens on the 160mm will leave gaps between slats of 120mm
• We quote these gaps as we use pre-drilled rails so easier for DIY, if you want to freestyle your own gaps then don't use our holes in the rails and do any gaps.

The slat battens are 40mm x 40mm, so they will protrude out past the Horizontal rail by 40mm.  The screw connection system is super strong with our internal ribs inside the battens and the extrusion has been tested and when fitted is as strong as welding.

The battens and rails come in 3 colours; Satin Black, Dark Grey (like Monument) or Gloss White.

CONNECTIONS: We quote our standard using a bracket that fixes to the side of your building or post, hence panels go between posts. If your trying to make a seamless look and have the battens in front of your posts, then you'll need to ask for SADDLE brackets instead.  These saddles will fit to the front of your post then the fence panel clips onto them.

DIY System

• Usually you fit you bottom and top rail around 10% of the overall slat length
• Full concealed fixings for battens
• Caps for the top and bottom of each batten; Either black or white plastic caps
• Plugs provided for excess holes in horizontal rail.  Half of our customers do not use them. Either black or white

SIMPLE TO USE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW – All fittings generally in stock

• Connect the top and bottom 40x40 rail with the 2 brackets to the internal centre or edge of your post or pier on both sides.  Use the speed sheet cutting sheet to know while hole the first slat goes into.  NOTE: It may not be the first visible hole
• Decide where the rail will screw to battens.  Typical way to decide is use 10% of the batten length.  Then use that as the intersection for the top and bottom rail to the slats.  So if battens are 1200mm long then use 120mm from top of batten to the rail and also 120mm from bottom of batten to the rail.
• Using a tape, measure down each slat edge from the top with a bright marker
• Using 2 people screw the first batten through the predrilled hole in rail then into the side of the batten on that mark (use the batten edge that has the 2 internal walls close to it)
• Continue the entire rail with top screws.  Use the 2nd person to hold batten firm to rail.
• Once completed screw in the bottom.  Normally no measurement is required for the bottom as the bottom rail should be firm and square
• Leave your gap between battens as shown on speed sheet.
• If you need posts then 76x76m Posts are $40 per metre or 100x100 are $70 per metre

What you should know:

- Payment of $100 needs to be made for any custom orders for each panel

- We cut Tuesdays and Thursday each week so have orders in before that

- Protective sheets will be left on the material for you to remove.

- Allow 3-6mm difference in final sizes

- When we quote you slat gaps (20mm or 60mm or 100mm) this will be the gap between the SQUARE 40X40 BATTENS.  The batten and gap may not divide equally into your width so we will advise what that gap is when we give you the installation instructions for the first and last gaps. Or ask us prior to the order.

Battens cant go within 30mm of the start and finish as the bracket holding the rail is there
