ABOUT OUR 65MM LOUVRE SYSTEM

Our louvre screens use a heavy duty 65mm high x 16mm thick aluminium slat with 2 internal reinforcing ribs for additional strength.

The aluminium is powder coated for a durable, low-maintenance finish. Aluminium will not rust, rot or require regular painting like many traditional screening materials.

Our louvre side tracks are rigid aluminium extrusions with precision-cut slat openings that hold each slat at a fixed angle.

The side track is approximately 50mm wide where it fixes against your post, wall, pier or supporting structure.

Once assembled, the system provides approximately a 10mm visible gap between the slats and approximately 10mm airflow.

This gives you a clean architectural louvre finish while still allowing ventilation through the screen.

We also stock matching 76x76mm and 100x100mm aluminium posts.

PANEL WIDTH & SUPPORT

If your screen is wider than approximately 2000mm, we normally provide a third louvre track through the centre to give the slats additional support.

As a general guide, we recommend keeping individual louvre panels to approximately 2400mm maximum width.

IMPORTANT – LOUVRE HEIGHTS

Because the slats sit into fixed positions in the side tracks, louvre screen heights work in set increments.

Heights increase or decrease in approximately 75.8mm increments.

For example, 1970.8mm high is one fixed finished height and you can move up or down in approximately 75.8mm increments to find the closest suitable height for your project.

Louvre screens can be made from approximately 303mm high through to approximately 3183mm high and beyond, depending on the application.

SIMPLE DIY ASSEMBLY

1. Most customers assemble their louvre screen flat on the ground before installing it.
2. Position one side track and slide the first slat into the precision-cut opening.
3. Remove the protective plastic only from the section of the slat that needs to slide into the track.
4. Insert the first slat, make sure it is level and secure it from the rear with a supplied Tek screw where required.
5. Continue inserting the remaining slats into the first side track.
6. Once all slats are positioned, gently work the opposite side track over the ends of all the slats. This part can take a little patience.
7. Position the completed screen into the opening and securely screw the side tracks to your posts, wall, piers or supporting structure.
8. Where possible, position the fixing screws on the less-visible side for the cleanest finished appearance.
9. Fit the supplied caps to the top and bottom of the side tracks.

WHAT WE SUPPLY

Your louvre screen is supplied cut to your ordered size with the components and assembly screws required to build the louvre screen.

We do not supply the screws or fixings required to attach the finished screen to your house, wall, posts or other structure.

The correct fixing will depend on the material you are attaching the screen to.

For most DIY installations, you simply need a suitable drill/driver, the correct structural fixings and a little time.

ALUMINIUM POSTS

Matching 76x76mm aluminium posts are $40 per metre and can be cut to your required length.

FAST FACTORY CUTTING

We cut custom orders every Tuesday and Thursday. Have your order in before the cutting day and our team works through the orders until the day's jobs are completed.

We are a family-run Brisbane business and quoting is fast. If your sizes change, simply SMS your updated panel sizes and we can quickly recalculate your quote.

DIY SUPPLY ONLY

We do not provide home installation, site measuring or site visits.

We manufacture and supply the system direct from the Narangba Factory as an easy DIY cut-to-size product.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE ORDERING

• A $100 payment is required for each custom-made panel order for lcoal orders.
• Custom cutting is completed Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Protective film may be left on the aluminium for you to remove after assembly.
• Allow approximately 3–6mm manufacturing tolerance in finished sizes.
• Louvre heights need to follow the fixed side-track increments.
• If you select a height outside the correct increments, gaps or unused track openings may be visible.
• Louvre side tracks may be supplied in multiple sections where required. Because the tracks are screwed back to your post, wall or supporting structure, this does not reduce the strength of the completed louvre panel.
