A UNIQUE 3-PROFILE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

Create a modern architectural fence, privacy screen or feature facade using a random combination of three different aluminium profiles:

• 65mm wide aluminium slats
• 40x40mm aluminium battens
• 16mm wide architectural blades

The different widths create a striking architectural appearance rather than the repetitive look of a standard slat fence. Each panel is supplied with a mixed combination of these three profiles.

EXAMPLE PRICING

As an example, a typical 2200mm wide x 1600mm high vertical architectural panel with approximately 30mm gaps in Satin Black, Gloss White or Dark Grey would be approximately $590.

This works out at approximately $253 per square metre and is supplied cut to size and flat packed as a DIY kit.

Increasing the gaps substantially reduces the amount of aluminium required and therefore lowers the price. For example, using approximately 65mm gaps can reduce the same style of panel to around $188 per square metre.

PREMIUM ARCHITECTURAL FENCING WITHOUT THE FABRICATION COST

This is a premium aluminium fence design and naturally uses considerably more aluminium than a standard slat fence. Our DIY system allows you to achieve the architectural look without paying for fully fabricated and installed panels.

We cut the aluminium to your required sizes and supply the components ready for you to assemble. This means more DIY labour at your end, but potentially significant savings compared with purchasing fully fabricated architectural panels.

OUR EXCLUSIVE DIY RAIL SYSTEM

Our multi-purpose top and bottom aluminium rails are pre-punched at regular intervals to make assembly faster and easier. Many of the vertical profiles will line up with the factory punched holes.

Where required, you simply TEK your own fixing hole. Most vertical profiles use two screws at each rail connection for a strong, secure fixing.

We also supply spacer pieces to help maintain consistent gaps while assembling your panel. Plugs are supplied for unused rail holes where required.

Our blade profiles contain internal reinforcing ribs, giving the screws a strong connection point inside the extrusion.

BUILD BETWEEN POSTS, PIERS OR EXISTING STRUCTURES

These architectural panels can be installed between our aluminium posts or between your own brick piers, timber posts, steel posts or other suitable structures.

SIMPLE DIY ASSEMBLY

1. Install the top and bottom horizontal rails between your posts or piers using the supplied brackets.
2. Decide where you want the rails positioned behind the vertical profiles. A common guide is approximately 10% of the overall profile height from the top and bottom.
3. For example, with 1200mm high vertical profiles, the rails could be positioned approximately 120mm from the top and 120mm from the bottom.
4. Mark the rail positions across your vertical profiles.
5. Starting from one side, screw the first vertical profile to the rails.
6. Use the supplied spacer to maintain the nominated gap before installing the next profile.
7. Continue across the panel following the profile sequence supplied with your cutting information.
8. Check that everything is square before fully tightening the bottom rail connections.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CUSTOM ORDERS

• A $100 payment is required for each custom panel order.
• Our regular cutting days are Tuesday and Thursday.
• Protective film may be left on aluminium components for you to remove after assembly.
• Please allow approximately 3–6mm manufacturing tolerance on finished cut sizes.
• Actual gaps may vary slightly so the profiles divide evenly across your nominated panel width.
• We provide the final profile layout and spacing information with your order.
• Vertical profiles cannot normally finish within approximately 30mm of the end of the rail because of the rail mounting brackets.
