DIY – Rake Your Own Sliding Gate During Assembly
One of the biggest advantages of our DIY Sliding Gates is that you can rake the gate yourself during assembly to suit a sloping driveway or angled opening.
We supply the gate as a cut-to-size rectangular kit. During assembly, you simply trim and rake the frame to suit your driveway or site, giving you the flexibility of a custom-made gate without the cost of a fully welded fabrication.

Easy raking is best suited to our Vertical Slatted Sliding Gates. Most of our other sliding gate styles can also be raked during assembly with a little more planning.
We supply the cut-to-size components – you create the final rake during assembly to perfectly suit your site.
Ordering the Correct Size
Allow extra material for the rake. When ordering, you should increase your overall gate size to allow for the material removed when cutting the angle.
For example, if you rake the bottom of the gate, you may lose around 100mm of finished height, depending on the slope of your driveway. Steeper slopes will require a larger allowance.

- Tape Measure
- Carpenter's Square
- Tek Screw Drill or Impact Driver
- Cordless Drill
- Metal Cutting Drop Saw or suitable Aluminium Cutting Saw
- Clamps (recommended)
- Spirit Level (recommended)
No welding or specialist fabrication equipment is required.
